Jac’Que Polite had another dominating day for the WSSU offensive line, as the Rams accumulated 528 total yards (285 rushing, 243 passing) in WSSU’s 23-21 win over Livingstone on Saturday.

#12 Shawheem Dowdy, Virginia Union
(Jr, QB – Baltimore, MD)
Dowdy completed a school-record 28 passes against Bowie State, including 14 in a row. His 399 yards in passing yardage is the third-highest in the history of VUU football. He also passed for three touchdowns.

Bellamy led the Trojans offense recording 243 rushing yards on 22 carries and 3 touchdowns. “It has been a tough season dealing with the ankle injury feels good to be healthy again, “said Bellamy. “I told my O-line all week let’s get back to doing what we do.”

Jacques led JCSU in tackles with 19 against Shaw in a 17-10 homecoming win, 11 of which were solo stops. He also registered 4 tackles for loss (14 yards), and a half sack (6 yards). He also had one quarterback hurry.

Thomas added three more interceptions in a 17-10 homecoming win over Shaw. He had 67 return yards and tallied four tackles against the Bears. He has had seven interceptions over the past two games, including last week’s CIAA record breaking performance. He has 10 INTs on the season.

WSSU kicker/punter, Will Johnson, had another spectacular day, punting once for 43 yards, while also connecting on three of four field goals, including the game winner for the Rams, in their 23-21 win over Livingstone. Johnson accounted for 11 of WSSU’s 23 points.

Rod Tinsley Jr had his best day as a collegian, going 13 of 22 for 243 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing five times for 56 yards. He did not take a sack and was not intercepted on the afternoon.
