JCSU Track & Field Teams Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

– Scholar Team of the Year and individual All-Academic honors for the 2014-15 NCAA Division II Track & Field season were announced Friday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).Both JCSU teams were named Scholar teams, with the JCSU women earning the designation by finishing with a 3.59 team GPA, which was the second-highest in all of Division II. The JCSU men’s team completed the season with a cumulative 3.32 GPA, which was fifth-highest among all NCAA Division II teams.
Individually, JCSU had 10 student-athletes earn All-Academic honors, the most from any CIAA school. In all, 450 women and 239 men received honors.
Scholar Athletes of the Year were selected as the highest-finishing performers at the NCAA Indoor & Outdoor Championships who also achieved USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual status.
